There are some aftermarket dongles that add this feature (google it). But there are no guarantees that they will work with future Apple/Android operating software upgrades.

GM does not have a track record of retroactively adding features to sold cars, and they haven't said they would add this feature, so that's highly doubtful.

I've gotten use to plugging my phone in on trips were I want to use the phone's GPS app; not a big deal at least for me.

That's what I do. The wire cable isn't very long and I leave it in place when I take the phone with me.

Just checked the USA Cadillac XT4 build page for both 2020 and 2021 models. The 2020 for CUE with navigation does NOT include wireless Apple or Android. But the 2021 does show wireless, as in your picture above. In both cases, navigation is a $1,500 option.

So it would seem wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto is a new feature for 2021 XT4's, not available in 2019 or 2020 models. Good digging on your part.

My 2021 Sport window sticker says I have it. Never tried it yet. I'll let you know if she ever lets me drive it

 

I converted a table docking station and glued it into the console with 3m. I put the cable in the gap in the storage compartment. A good solution for long journeys when I need to charge it. For short journeys, I connect the phone with bluetooth.

Are those magnetic connectors below your install?

I resolved the issue by buying Car2Play wireless adapter and it works well. The adapter plugs in to the USB port and is very small. It does take a while to first connect but eventually, if you leave it alone and ignore what's on your screen, it will bring up your Apple CarPlay.

My dealer gave me a 2021 XT4 loaner while my 2020 XT4 was in for service.

Wireless CarPlay was amazing... sets up in seconds and just automatically connects every time you start the car. It's as if CarPlay was the built-in Infotainment system.

This happened once with my 2020 XT4. Fixed it by completely shutting down power to my iPhone and then re-starting it. Have you tried this?

i have tried shutting down my iphone and also tried other iphone from family members
Anadorid works but iphone will not connect wirelessly
also tried factory reset on Cadillace no luck,

if you have a MagSafe equipped iPhone (12 or 13), this $39 Belkin MagSafe vent iPhone holder works great. It doesn’t charge (a charging equipped model comes out soon) but it’s a good place for the iPhone and connecting for charging/CarPlay is a cinch.

 

Had anyone found an aftermarket Bluetooth transmitter that works in the 2020 XT4, to connect to AA wirelessly? The one I purchased doesn't seem to be working 😔

 

Yes. The Motorola MA1. Works great in my 2020 Xt4 Sport.

 

I can't get the Motorola MA1 to work in my 2020 XT4 Premium Luxury.
