Have a new Escalade 2021 and can't really figure out the best way to show pre-recorded videos to the rear entertainment screens. Kids have Amazon tablets but hooking them up didn't work. Open to suggestions.
It should. We do that in all of our cars. You may just need to hit Source as HDMI on the Escalade menu for the screen so it knows something is connectedWhy would'nt this work?
Tap/hold for a second in the bottom left hand corner of each screen and they will come on. If yours doesn't, it's not operating the way it should. Also - I have yet to figure out how to turn the screens on from the back - I can only turn them on from the front. The dealer didn’t know either. Does anyone know how to turn them on from the back?
i have a sport platinum 2021 and run a fire stick as well and this doesn’t happen to meHave they fixed this design flaw?
I should mention that i do not have any issue with the Start/Stop feature being on and the rear entertainment center shutting off.Just picked up our 2022 Platinium Sport Same issues. My wife is pissed on Spending $140K on a car that can't play a $5 DVD. Went out and purchased Roku LT. Set it up. Works like a charm. One problem. Streaming eats data!!. One 30 min netflix show and burned 2GB. Ouch!. Cadillac Give you 12GB for a free trial. That will be gone in 6 hours of driving. Can get 7GB for $35 a month on GM's data Plan. Or go with the Hotspot phone option.
Not sure what the benefit is from just having ipads in the car and hot spotting those off your phone.
Expensive upgrade for the entertainment system.. You would think the GM would have just included unlimited data plans and even build in the Netflix, Prime, Disney apps into the car like the Smart tv's do. Now i have cords running all over the place in the back seat area.
