And the moment you all have been waiting for......If you have a order or are on a waitlist for LYRIQ, Cadillac is sending you a $50 gift card which can be used for some exclusive chocolates. Be on the lookout for an email from the Mothership.
Wife will be happy about that at least. Wonder if it is these mentioned today in an email from Cadillac:

Cadillac Rising Icon Phillip Ashley Rix, known for his award–winning and imaginative chocolates, was named Cadillac's exclusive chocolatier. Phillip designed luxurious chocolates for the 2‌0‌2‌4 CE‌LEST‌IQ, 20‌2‌3 L‌YRI‌Q and the 2‌0‌23 Es‌ca‌lade–V, showcasing the Cadillac brand through luxurious creative craftsmanship. Uggg ... I'd rather have a credit or free Cadillac accessories (mats, etc) vs $50 worth of chocolates.

Pretty much just like the Qmerit credit (which is marked up to the point of not being cost effective for many), or the EVGo promotion - with no EVGo chargers (in the area, or of Lyriq level power).

So I guess we should plan on a 2024 model, with no idea of pricing or equipped levels and wait for Jan specs. Hopefully with the chocolate email will come some information on what they will do to us or for us to make the transition to 2024 model.

LYRIQ Update 12/15

In so many words or less.....The dealer demo units will eat up 23 production. You might see a few units trickle out or be picked up for January but for the most part we won't see allocation until 2024 Model year. The person speaking in regards to LYRIQ did hint at additional models and colors for 2024. Waitlist will be removed from the Cadillac website 1/3. Dealers will receive 2024 Info / digital brochure sometime in January. 2024 LYRIQ kicks off sometime in February 2023. Nothing changes with DE units. Those are still being produced and or ending production soon.

Cadillac did speak about the 2023 EV Credit. And me personally I think this is what the hold up is. The government does not have everything in place for this to go live. Cadillac shared different parameters for qualifying offers that they themselves are still working on in the background. For example, the LYRIQ still needs classified as an SUV and not a sedan. Where the battery is made (USA) comes into play and the minerals used. Overall household income cap (less than $150,000 / Joint $300,000) is also a factor and the MSRP of the LYRIQ as long as it is under $80,000. Starting in 2024 the tax credit could also be used as a discount and not as a rebate should the customer / dealer decide. Sounded like a lot of moving parts and nothing concrete at the moment. $3,750 looks to be the set amount. $7,500 could also be a future possibility if the sun and moon align.

Happy Holidays,
Thanks for keeping us updated. Do you think they have plans to explain all this to us soon. I think this was asked but any information on how the list will roll over etc. I suspect they will just leave it to the dealers, give them allocations and let the dealers do what they will with 2023 folks and 2024 waiting list folks. I hope they will do something like require a dealer to clear their 2023 list before they can use an allocation for their 2024 list folks, but that’s probably dreaming.

Cadillac can still save this, folks are understanding about the delays, but if dealers are left to their own devices, you know there will be price issues and place in line pricing and all kind of stuff. Cadillac could get a real black eye if it goes that way.

I don't see them really explaining anything. They will use the dealers for that. Because we are always the bad guys! 🤣 I know with us, if you have a 23 order, we are filling those before we touch 24 waitlist customers. It's only fair.

Hopefully all the dealers feel the same, but what are the chances of that ?

It’s easier to cry into a box of chocolates than it is to cry on a floormat(I’m not a good comedian) lol. Let’s hope we get an email soon. We’re officially at the end of that email from August as of today, so they know we’re due something

Happy Holidays,
Great information thank you for posting.

How are they getting the address for the gift card sends?

To everyone waiting, it could always be worse. I heard of a lady that pre ordered a Ford Maverick Hybrid over 400 days ago.
Preodered my Mach E when it was first announced and got it around the 455 day mark. The Mach E forum was just like this concerning frustration over lack of communication, so I guess been there done that?

I am really confused by the announcement. Are we saying May orders will be bumped to ‘24 models with less features to decrease the price? I’ve been on the fence about continuing to wait despite the zero communication but that would be the last straw.

Never said anything about less features and decrease in price.

Please clarify, for those of us with May 18/19 orders confirmed via email, are our orders being kept and eventually built? If so, will they be 2023 or 2024?

If not, aside from a $50 gift card, what do we do next?
