I have deposits for both the Lyriq and Blazer EV SS. After the 2024 changes in model trims, a Sport 3 is pushing back $72k. The suggested price for the Blazer EV SS is around $68k. Basically going to be close in pricing.

I haven't been able to find information on the AWD Lyriq and the horespower if it's equivalent to the 557 advertised in the WOW mode of the SS. I know 500 HP is a lop, but a little more would be better.

Anyone else considering an SS?

Lyriq Chief Engineer Jamie Baker said GM modulated the Lyriq’s launch torque map to reduce what we call “jerk” and produce a more comfortable, less neck-snapping acceleration fitting w/ its luxury and quiet comfort.

The Blazer SS’s AWD drive train is technically the same as Lyriq, but with its full raw power and torque unleashed. Neck-snapping acceleration is part of what defines classic Chevy SS DNA:) 0-60 in ”under 4 seconds”. The AWD Lyriq will likely get to 60 in between 4.5 and 5 seconds.

Just be aware that on the Blazer, the Wide-Open-Watts "faster acceleration" feature requires you to press a separate button to "activate." Otherwise, you get normal acceleration. That, plus the lack of CarPlay, convinced me to cancel my reservation for the Blazer.

Lyriq AWD won't require anything other than pressing the pedal to achieve its full acceleration (which won't come close to matching what the Blazer will achieve in its brief WOW mode – see the lame "explanation" above by Jamie Baker.) There's rumor of a "V-Series" Lyriq in the works, but no hard proof that it's real. If it does get announced, it will likely be well over the $72k you priced for your Sport 3 Lyriq.

I never strongly considered the Blazer over the Lyriq (although I do have reservations for both), mostly due to the Lyriq's interior being way, way, way more my style than the Blazers. That said, the Blazer offers a HUD which I always considered a must have and the Lyriq still stubbornly refuses to. Just need to decide if I can live with the Blazer's interior or not (and of course to see if the Blazer will end up being as impossible to actually get as the Lyriq is proving).

I'm in the same boat as you. I understand Chevrolet wanting to make one out there interior with the Blazer SS, justifying the red version. But, for the black interior, that orange is such an eyesore. Without the orange on the front seats, I think I'd ultimately be ok with it. I test drove a Lyriq and was far more impressed with the styling, color, and overall design in the cabin.

I have a deposit for both. I actually have 2 deposits for the Blazer. I also just put down a deposit for a the EX90 from Volvo. We bought a Model 3 Performance 1.5 months ago while we wait. With the way Cadillac is handling this launch, I really have no idea when it'll be available. GM in general is dropping the ball lately. I get constraints but I have a deposit on a Z06 and that's moving comically slow too. The KIA EV9 looks intriguing but I don't know if they even take reservations for those. I'm definitely looking elsewhere because of this rollout debacle. If Tesla rolls out a V2H software update that enables 2 way charging, then we'd possibly just keep the Tesla. It's pretty spartan but the acceleration on it is pretty addictive.

I’m a little unclear on that. I am working with the Waze folks and have sent them a bunch of info, but so far they haven’t said. I can’t find it on Google Play either, so it is confusing
