Haha it was a bfc of mtn dew. Only lasted like 300 miles, but none the less, it still got hot haha.. im pretty sure the new esclade platinum has them in it. I know theres after market ones made, just didnt know if any for our cars. Would be a pretty nice feature IMO.

 

if you want it hot, tape it in the engine bay, if you want it cold get a window cup holder and hang it out the window

 

Im pretty sure my brother has those heated/cooled cup holders in his Lincoln

I didn't even know that these were out there. Now that some manufactures have them built-in to some of their cars. I am hoping that Cadillac has done the same with the new XTS and ATS. However, I don't see anything mentioning the cup holders. Anyone know if they have it or not, whether it be standard or option?

Great ideas uk haha cheap, and somewhat..effecient yeah i normally try to stay away from it. Not like i want babies anyhow though haha. that would be nice, theyve been in the escaladeplantinum for multiple years now. So probably only in platinum editions if so.

 

Pretty sure Dodge has had them in various models for more than a few years now...GM did it with the Escalade in 04...There's also aftermarket ones that strap to your vents and utilize the HVAC to heat/cool your beverage of choice.

 

Curt, do you know of any that would work in our cars?

 

The vent attached ones I've seen looked pretty universal.

 

Throw a chunk of Dry Ice in the cup holer & sit your Dew on it. Or carry a small bottle of Liquid Nitrogen & just spray it.........LOL

I agree with Curt, Dodge had drink coolers in the Journey or Nitro/Caliber, I think. Back in the '60's & '70's they had a thing called the Car Bar.

hm, i was hoping for some that could directly replace the rubber inserts we have now, that would be really nice.

 

just put your rubber insert in the freezer before a trip.

 

Go to RadioShack/homedepot. Buy a cheap cooling fan, a cig lighter cell charger and plastic/aluminum tubing. Splice the fan into the cig lighter charger place the fan in the cup holder, route the tubing from the can in front of the fan and sip your mountain dew using a siphon set up. You won't be worrying about the coldness of your drink once you get this working and you might be in fl by then too lol.

Buy a 2012 Chrysler 300, pry off the badge, slap on a Cadillac badge.

I have a cooler that can be heated or cooled. I have been meaning to "fit" it into my truck. It can hold a 6 pack of whatever beverage you prefer. Im sure some cars have this already, im not sure wht ones.

 

And let's be honest... even if there is a direct plug-n-play cup holder replacement, how powerful of a heater or cooler do you think you can fit in a little space like that? Not to mention it will only be covering half of the average-sized drink container.
