the bumper removal sounds daunting....it took me 1 hour to remove , i could do it significantly quicker now....if your gonna yank it change all the bulbs and be sure not to touch the glass bulbs on halogens, might be a good time to convert to LED headlights? i would not bother with led in the other locations as led's can sometimes cause strange issues

 

Honestly I’m just trying to get that bulb that fell in there out and I can’t get it out with the headlight in place, so I do have to remove the bumper in order for me to remove the headlight?

 

Or does anyone have a diagram or a link as to how to remove half the bumper to take off the headlight assembly

 

Did you remove that socket thru cap you twist off to get to head light bulb.

 

No I just flushed my hand behind everything and twisted it off, then at the point to putting the new one on…..as I was trying to rotate it in the bulb fell in there…

 

So their is no way to put DumDum is what I call it (black tar strips) on a hanger wire and wiggle in there with sticky material on wire to get out.

So I ended up removing half the bumper and taking off the headlight enough to roll the bulb to the end of the hole and my wife ended up having the genious idea of hot gluing her nail and sticking it inside and connecting it to the bulb and it came right out, man o man what a day lol

 

It's never easy.
