@Jay Rudy Connect a phone, play something through YouTube and see if it gives it a kick in the pants.
Make sure your apps are fully updated in the car.
Try a factory reset.
If all else fails, call dealer.

 

Yes!!! I had the exact same problem. Worked great for about a week, then no sound at all. I had to do a full factory reset to get my speakers to work again. Now, I have to take phone calls on my actual phone like it's the year 2000! But, my radio works at least. EV concierge instructed me to go to the dealer. But, what are they going to do about a software issue? I made a negative review about Android Auto in the Google Play Store. We need to get the technical people to see this problem.

 

There is already a Software Fix, right now it's only available at the dealership. See the thread you made.

 

My car is currently at the dealer with this exact issue! So frustrating, after all this time and you can’t even get the audio right! I am not too happy with General Motors.

 

If you recently took delivery of your car, your dealer didn't update it correctly before delivery.

 

I took delivery on 6/14. My radio kept going in and out. We thought it was the stations. Then our gps wasn’t talking to us and I on star couldn’t hear us along with any other phone calls. I told on star if they can hear us to please call me at my phone number. The called me on the phone and told them exactly what was going on they said to take it the dealership.
if we had sound we couldn’t turn it up or down and if it paused the turn signals wouldn’t work. Then there were times that it didn’t work at all!
we took our car to the dealership on 7/7. They kept it overnight and did a software update and it’s fixed! We didn’t get home before it started all over again!! OMG! I’m over this.
The Cadillac CS called me to asked how was the service. Well the service didn’t work and that I dont like the car and I’m going to trade it in. I had a MB SUV and I should have kept it! Damn what a fool I am!

 

Your dealer didn't update your car before delivery. You need to take this up with them and make sure they know how terrible they are at brand representation and customer support.
That issue has been solved and addressed long ago. Such a shame they are putting you on the line like this.

 

Based on this and many other threads I’m beginning to think the Lyriq falls in the lemon category. Thank goodness mine hasn’t gone to production yet. Perhaps these many issues will be fixed by then.

 

These are minor if inconvenient issues, simple fixes for most.

 

I just took delivery of my 2024 Lyriq on 12/26/2023. This same issue just happened to me tonight with all the audio going away. It seems that maybe they did not find and implement a fix.

 

So this is an old thread, and the original audio issues mentioned have long been sorted with updated software - or in limited cases, a new radio. But this isn't the same problem for 2024 vehicles.

Sporadic audio issues crop up from time to time, but can be typically resolved just by rebooting the infotainment (hold hang-up button for 10 seconds). In cases where the radio doesn't play, I've also asked Google assistant a question, it responds, and then the radio audio returns. So audio still is a bit buggy, but not nearly the issue from early in the year with Debut Edition vehicles.

 

I took delivery of my 2024 Sport 3 on 1/12/24 and this happened to me last night. No audio from sound system or turn signals. I was quite upset to drive home for 35 mins with no sound in my new car! I did a google search this morning and found this forum and a couple of things to try to restore the audio. When I started the car this morning audio came right on without me doing anything. I have also noticed that it seems my whole display has "dimmed" sometimes. I usually have to restart the car to make that go away.

 

Lyriq has a very aggressive screen auto dimming scheme where if you don't have enough light hitting the sensor on the dash, the screen will dim very quickly and prematurely. I'm hoping this is fixed with the next update.

 

I am having the same problems with my Lyriq that I picked up in Jan 2. No sound from the radio or turn signals. I also have the radio display dimming intermittently Going to the dealership next week but not happy to have these problems so soon with a new car after it was delayed for months at the factory

 

Did you try rebooting the system. Simply hold the hang up button on the steering wheel down for about 10-20 seconds and system will reboot, fixes many ills, hopefully yours.
