*** Update the flex pipe cost $13 0n amazon and found a littLe muffler shop who welded it that day for only $150, I'm very happy,****

own a 2016 srx performance with 40k and last week engine light came on and it started to sound like a exhaust leak. crawled under and seen that a small flex pipe at front of vehicle is blown out . Has anyone else had a problem with this and is there a easier way to repair besides removing the exhaust system

That flex joint needs to be removed and replaced with new. MAYBE at a good local Mom & Pop exhaust shop - NOT a national chain Exhaust Doodle.

Anything in the Walker replacement diagram for 2016 Cadillac SRX 3.6?

Rock auto and GM parts do not list the individual piece, perhaps the dealer can get one for you? you can have a mom and pop swap it ? it should not have broken so soon so have mom and pop check for broken exhaust mounts or other damage /looseness that caused the pipe to flex so much

edit - the FSM does not show this as a replaceable part you may have to replace the whole section...i'dstart looking at wrecking yards online if the dealer says its a no-go

If you want a bolt in solution, you're buying the complete pipe. As hoosier points out, you can get the flex at any parts place. We do these frequently in the school shop. Complete pipe out. Chop the bad flex. Pipe pieces back in. Measure the gap. Cut the ends off the flex to match. Flex in gap, tack weld. Remove complete pipe. Finish weld all the way around. Reinstall the complete pipe with new gaskets. Yes, it is a decent amount of time to do. Many independent garages will know how to do this, and I can guarantee a dealer won't do it.
