I read through the threads after a search. It left me confused and concerned, what would you do?

My check engine light came on. I was on a trip so I just continued on the trip. A few days later the check engine light went off.
When I got home I connected my reader and I got a P0009 code Engine Position System Performance Bank 2. I have driven the car a few times and the light has not come back on. I also have a P0690 code in Cadillac FSC DTC Engine Controls Ignition Relay Feedback Circuit High Voltage.
From what I read in the threads regarding P0009 it is a real crap shoot, so many possibilities. Now that is scary if some of the best mechanics can not agree on what is the fix.

You have the dreaded bad timing chain problem. TSB 11340. You are out of warranty, so I don't know exactly how it works for you. However, I do believe you are covered. I was just barely within original warranty. Cadillac made an appointment for me, changed out the timing chains, and extended the warranty on my 2008 STS 3.6L

Call this number with your VIN# handy: 1 (800) 458-8006

GOOD LUCK!
