So I noticed that once I condition the leather it really brightens up to almost are cherry red. I use "leather rescue" from amazon and it seems to work great. But after a day or 2 it fades and the leather almost appears maroon. The other interior parts alway remain a brighter red in my opinion. I was curious if there's a good leather cleaner/conditioner that you guys use to keep it that bright sexy red? If not, maybe something that keep it's that bright red longer than a day or 2.
I also wonder because I was thinking about having a custom shift boot done in red leather, but I would have no idea what shade to get.
Or maybe just redo the black leather with something softer and have red stitching....hmmm...
Here's a good example.

In theory, any kind of conditioning should do absolutely nothing to your leather unless the surface is very, very worn. Reason being that the leather in our cars is treated (coated) leather. This is leather that has a good top coat of some sort of urethane, and thus the conditioner and similar products do not penetrate into the leather layer. Best way to keep the coated leather clean is to wash with mild soap and water. Same goes for keeping vinyl clean. Unless your leather is aniline or better, these leather conditioning products are a marketing ploy.

Wow, my leather never gets close to that red, even after I condition it. Mine always looks maroon. Does anyone know a good product to use on the red door panels? Apparently I have the opposite problem from you, as my door, bottom dash looks very dull red, and any product I put on to try to shine it up or detail it just streams really badly and looks terrible, and when I wipe it off, it just looks really dull.
