Damn I like those rims....

 

What is the width and offset/bs for the rims? From how it looks to me you could do good with spacers for a start, say 1". At least in the front not sure how much space there is in the rear judging from that picture. If the rims are 8.5" 275 will bulge out a little bit.

 

The offset is 13 ET. It sucked those in real easy. I take long trips once a year, so I didn't know if those spacers would be safe. Are they safe enough??? The rims are 8.5 also.

 

Too small?!?

The 20 inch tires are really just a little larger than your stock tire size. They have a circumference that is three inches larger, which won't make much of a difference in the way the vehicle rides or handles (past any determent caused the smaller side wall.) The only problem you may run into is the tires being too wide; the 275 is the tread width. A tread that wide probably won't fit behind the fender skirt, and you may have problems is the tires rubbing. I would say try to find a set with a tread width 255 or below, and there shouldn't be a problem.

 

275 is the SECTION WIDTH, i.e., the width of the tire at its maximum. tread width is not part of a tire specification and is always less than section width..

That said, 275 may not clear the front or rear openings.

 

Another problem with mongo wide tires like a 275 width is they tend to follow grooves/ruts in the road. Unless you have a firm grip on the wheel, they'll pull you all over the place on a bad road. I had a car with 275/40/R17(stock tire size on a Camaro), it was pretty bad about that. Fine on that car though, because I drove it like a bat out of hell always with a firm grip on the wheel.

 

Anyone running these P275/45/20 made by Vogue or the 245/40/20??? I want to run the 22's but I think it will be too flashy. Comments please...

 

my friend has had everything on his 95 fleetwood from 14" spokes to 24" rims, hes had 22" vogues and as of right now i think he has 20" spokes on vogues. a 275 will fit without rubbing depending on the rim offset. he has airbags to to tuck the rims and the 24"s didnt rub, when he had the 22" vogues he had a 2" lowering kit and it didnt rub either

this is a 20" vogue layed out and the car is not cutup, it has factory fenderwells

this is layed out on 24"s and that tire is not only talled but much wider than a 275 tire

 

Now that's the way to reply to a thread, good looking out Bruh. But that's a show car, I'll be driving mine everyday. After seeing those photos, I actually think the P275 from vogue will work. I really wanted to see a FWB on P275/45R20 by Vogue. Well I guess those tires are for SUV's only. I'll call Vogue and see what they say. Thanks again

 

Just as I thought, those tires are made for small SUV's. Can't win today...

 

you would be surprised, that car is nice and show worthy, actually puts it in shows all over but it is a daily driver, garaged but a daily driver

yea, it was painted about 3 years ago. and is always being customized. had the interior done. then ripped it out and went with a different style. 5 different stereo setups in the trunk. ect ect ect.

the escalade in the rear on 28"s was his other car, he switched back and forth between the 2 until recently getting rid of it

 

Anybody else has some pictures of P245/45/20 tires??

 

as i said before. the green fleetwood i posted. the 24" rims on it in that picture is a 305/25/24 thats much wider than a 275 tire, its also a few inches taller , riding with it lower than factory height there are no issues unless you try a sharp 90 degree turn.

the 275 20" vogue will fit with no issues
