Thanks! This is fun and I've learned a lot about these cars. Its the first car I've been excited about since my first car when I was 16!! And its always a plus that there are lots of guys to talk to at any time of the day! LOL ;-)
All my pix are in jpg format so no need to scan prints. I am trying to get them in order. The Junkyard Dog project started in earnest in 2003 and took about a year to complete. Then in 2006 some peanut tried to steal it and a bunch more damage was done to the R.F. door and the interior. While trying to get all this crap sorted out and repaired, a ton of rust was uncovered under the vinyl top. That coupled with a rusty hinge pillar sidelined the old Dog for another 4 years.
Hey man, just really seeing your post on my profile, I have been absent from the forums because I have been studying hard for the bar exam. I will not be able to make the meet unfortunately, I thought I would be able to, but the test is just a week and a half away...I know you guys will be having fun though!! Take a drink for me, lol ;-)
Sting........ Our Junkyard Dog (81 SDV) is about ready to hit the road. It has been a long and arduous procedure and I think there might be others interested in the saga. I have pix on my machine from the start (1994) to the present but I haven't a clue how to post them in a decent size to a thread here. Nor do I have a clue how to go about creating such a thread. Any help for me from your end? Since you are the Photo Nazi of the group, I look to you for help. You won't be disappointed............
Thanks Sting........ I think that I will wait a while before I start an elaborate thread. My "Saving a Junkyard Dog" (the 81 SDV) thread will span the years 1995 - 2003 while it was being driven in it's JYD format and the years 2003 - 2006 when rebuilding took place followed by a bungled theft attempt and subsequent damage. I will have to do the text and collate the photos in a logical manner in order for it all to make sense as well as be fairly entertaining and informative.
As I said earlier, I've been lurking on this site for three years now like some ugly, hunchback perverted automotive peeping tom without ever being able to post pix properly, engage in intelligent discussion or understand how any of the magic software works. If the software probs are in the process of being fixed/replaced in order to make stuff work properly I should just bide my time and assemble my project photos. First will be the saving of a Junkyard Dog (81 SDV which should have been crushed in 1995) then a bit on parts cars and some other incidental Cad-related pix. I can keep myself entertained for weeks.
p.s How do I replace the question mark with a more relevant graphic? Everyone else has got neat stuff in the ID window....I've got a question mark.
That Victoria meet was great fun. I took 40 or so pix but the album only let me put 25 in. I wanted to open another album to put some pix of my 83 car in but it won't seem to let me. I can get a screen up by clicking on the "add album" line and a title box plus a description box open in the new blank album. When I try to continue, I get a line telling me that this album has no pictures in it. As if I hadn't noticed. Like I said, I need an operator's manual for this site.
