Hello friends! It is a great pleasure to greet you in this forum that I visit for the first time. I don’t speak English but I think Google translator will make me communicate perfectly with you. I live in Panama Central America and I am happy because I just bought my first Cadillac and it is the 2013 Cadillac Cts premium with only 3713 mph or 5977 kmp. I was looking for one for a long time and I think it was the perfect time to have it since the car I bought belonged to an elderly man with a lot of money who had it in his garage next to his other cars just for being a Cadillac fan.

It was really love at first sight!

Seeing my excitement, the man decided to make me an offer. The number was $7000 for the car, which I didn’t hesitate for a single second.

I bought it and I’m HAPPY!

Enter this forum to learn more about the CTS and I see that they suffer from some important things. The one that surprised me the most was the chain of the times.

Do you have experience, what do you recommend me to do since it has been so long without rolling and with little use?

Here are the photos:

Lovely car! Welcome to the forum. You got a great car at a tremendously good price.

Google translate is around 80% good - it's a little rough around the edges though.

As for the timing chains, that wasn't a big problem with the 2013 model year. Just check the oil level every two weeks and you'll be fine for many years.

Congratulations on your first Cadillac.

WOW! Am I reading this right? Only 3713 miles. That’s barely broken in.

No problems with the translation - Welcome Aboard !!!

If you want to see posts on questions or problems use a Google search worded something like - "cadillac forums 2013 cts timing chain" or other parts/system questions.

Example - click on it - cadillac forums 2013 cts timing chain issues - Google Search

If you cannot verify a professional engine coolant change within the last 5 years I would recommend that. Drive it gently - and keep a close eye on tire condition - for your first 250 miles or so. Recommended tire inflation pressure is on the driver's door edge sticker.
