Yes, updates come over the air.
I took delivery of my factory-ordered 2020 Premium Luxury in October. I have same build info as you do (dated May 7,2019). Also says no updates available when I check. And I have no CUE issues.

Actually a couple questions. So im under the assumption that the CUE system updates over the air and is not required for the dealer to update. Correct? I have a 2020 XT4 Sport i picked up a few days ago, and this is the software i have and when i search for updates the CUE system says no available updates. But going thru the forum here ive read people have had updates and the version number doesnt correspond to the version im seeing my car has. This is what im seeing on mine when i go to settings and the about tab:

 

I have the 2019 Xt4 Sport and I was having issues with the climate control . So when I was having the service the updates were done by the dealership.

Seems to me 2020s have a different series of build numbers, so really cannot comment.

If it helps, for 2019s with RPO code IOT, the latest available software as of early December was V805.1 dated May 15, 2019.

There was also a separate bulletin for HVAC system issues: 19-NA-189 https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2019/MC-10166622-9999.pdf

OTA only seems to works on mine when it is within range of our home wifi network that I added to the car (with password, etc.). Have you tried that?

 

Just checked ours last night with v807 installed.

Also got updated to V807 a few days ago. This is very first time OTA updates worked on mine. Guess V805.1 did the trick.

1. Go to Home page
2. Tap Settings tab
3. Scroll down and tap About
4. Build Number line displays the version
5. Tap Build Number line to display the build details including Date and Update History

How can I update my version? I’m still stuck on v803 and my dealership says there are no updates available

 

I'm kind of stuck on what to do any help would be gladly appreciated. The Cadillac Dealership in Corpus Christi is telling me they can't update my Infotainment System because there are no system updates available. Even after showing them another XT4 2019 model on the dealership that has V807. They're telling me It's on GM and not them. I have a call i'm waiting on getting from a senior advisor at GM Cadillac Care Center. I'm not sure if they will help me get past this issue. Do you guys suggest anything for me to do? I'm willing to do anything in my power to get my infotainment system updated and working properly. It's really bothering me

 

Have you tried calling Cadillac Connection Center directly at 1-877-299-1376? They maybe able to help you.

 

I have a young coworker who just took her 2018 Cadillac (not sure of model) to the dealership for something wrong with her emergency brake. They graciously gave her a loaner, called her at work and told her the car needed a computer update which would cost $400!!! and it would be ready in a couple hours. Any chance she wasn’t just ‘taken for a ride’?

 

Unless it is over 50K miles it should be covered under BTB warranty. Otherwise its on her nickle
