Check engine light is on 18300 miles. Took it to the dealer and Evap Purge Pump is faulty. And naturally they had to order it. Anyone else have issues with it?
The code is P1467

Yes, my 2019 XT4 has had it replaced twice and since March 2023 the check engine light has been on and the evap purge pump error is back. Took it to the dealer at that time and the tech says he doesn't think its the purge pump; probably wasn't the last time it was replaced either. Been waiting for parts to come for a vent solenoid and a fuel pump control module that he believes will solve the problem. He said there's been a lot of XT4's with this issue.

Cadillac issued a special warranty that was given to owners at the end of 2022 I believe. This is what it says:
Field Action
Some 2019 - 2020 model year Cadillac XT4, Chevrolet Silverado 1500, or GMC Sierra 1500 vehicles, equipped with a 4-cylinder gas engine may have a condition that could cause the evaporative emissions purge pump to fail. If this condition occurs, the Malfunction Indicator Light (Check Engine Light) will illuminate and a diagnostic trouble code will set. This special coverage covers the condition described above for a period of 15 years or 150,000 miles (240,000 km), whichever occurs first, from the date the vehicle was originally placed in service, regardless of ownership.
Repairs
Dealers are to replace the evaporative emissions purge pump/canister as necessary. The repairs will be made at no charge to the customer.

It appears it's going to be a long wait. The strike will affect parts and suppliers. If you have to get your car state inspected, you might not pass. I asked the service mgr if it will hurt the car, and they said only the environment. Al Gore will be pissed

Told me I can continue to drive the car till the part comes in
FYI, EVAP systems capture and store evaporated gas from the gas tank and later burns it in the engine. Was added to all cars in the mid-1970's to reduce smog (especially in the LA basin) and ground level ozone that is harmful to respiration. Generally doesn't do much in cooler temps when evaporation is less prevalent.

An inoperative EVAP system will do absolutely no harm to the car.

I'm having the same issue & also need to pass ECheck (Ohio) to get plates due in December. You can't pass with the check engine light on. Dealership gave me a letter saying it is under warranty and the part is backordered and told me that should work. I'm going to see if this will work soon because the dealer said it probably be months before they get the part.

yes, 35,000 miles, check engine lite is on. remote start won't work because the check engine light is on. They say the pump has been on backorder since at least August. No idea when it will be in stock.

Question for those of you that had this issue: did you experience any noise before the check engine light came on?

Once the engine gets hot, I have a loud buzzing/grinding sound coming from right where the purge pump is located - but I don't have a check engine light yet. The noise is so loud that you can hear it in the car with the windows up while driving. Sounds terrible. Car is going to the dealership soon, but if the pump is backordered I guess I'll have to live with the loud noise for a long time!

I have a 2021 CT5 (under warranty) that has had this issue since the end of October 2023. As soon as the dealership could get the car in (13NOV23), the Service Advisor advised to drive the car and he would call me when the part came in. Followed up at the dealership Parts Department in person a month later and was advised a new part number (PN 12735890) replaced the original part (PN 12718570). Was then told they would order the new part number but it wasn't available. When I asked why the old part number on order wouldn't automatically sub to the new replacement part number, the Parts guy got quiet. Called Cadillac Customer Service to escalate the issue. After checking into it, Customer Service called me back and said the dealership would give me a loaner, just talk to the dealership. When I talked to the local Service Advisor about the Customer Service response and told them I the reason I was wanting the issue resolved was I was planning to leave on an out of town on a ~2500 mile trip, the dealership baulked at the rental car. Before leaving, I called Cadillac Customer Service and advised the dealership didn't honor the loaner car request due to length of the trip. While on the trip, Cadillac Customer Service called and advised dealership tried to search for an available part at other dealerships (which after reading the above comments seems a bit like a "this will shut him up for awhile") but none could be found (who would have guessed?). Cadillac Customer Service was to follow up with me on the two month anniversary (12JAN23), but I have yet to receive a call or email to date. Today I have placed a call to the Cadillac Customer Service with my case number (yes, it is to that point that I have a case number and the ladies phone extension number) and see what the next explanation will be.

I just want my car repaired......
