I need to install a brake controller on my 1999 Escalade so that I can pull our new travel trailer with it. Does anyone have any good instructions for doing this? I have done some research, but can only find write-ups and information it seems on 2002 and up models. If anyone can help me out with information for installing it on my 1999 model, I would really appreciate it!

You have to search a little, but look at this thread:

On the '00/99 models the wires are there but aren't connected. You have to find the wires at the back. They are under the vehicle on the drivers side, tucked up with the wires going to the rear lights. The power feed and the brake controller wire is under the master cylinder in the engine compartment and is a pain to find. The above thread will give you an idea of what's involved. I wired my '00 myself, but a trailer or RV dealer may sell you the controller and wire it for for a reasonable price. It's worth checking into if you know a reputable dealer.
