Get cross drilled rotors made by stop tech and brake pads made by brembo or wagnor. This is the least expensive way.

 

15" Front EradiSpeed+1 Rotor*is the closest you will get to a big brake for half the cost

 

As said above there are some alternatives, but if you really want to stop then you know what you have to do. SSBC has some lower cost options, we have installed some of them, but if you run big wheels and drive on the faster side, you need big brakes

 

The rubber you have on the truck is just as important as the BBK.

 

Thanks for all the suggestions. Decided on going 24s instead. With the roads where I live plus the wife drives it just as much if not more than me. Women + 26 = bent rim lol. Good point on the rubber. What are some of your guys favorite tires in 295/35r24? Looking for something like the nitto 420s but hopefully a little more affordable.

 

The 24's will bend just as easily with bad roads too! Honestly, anything with a sidewall profiles of less than 50 and aftermarket rims you at greater risk of damage, with bad roads. It all depends HOW bad the road is.

 

Don't know my factory 22s have been just fine so far on 285/45.

 

I use to run 305/30r26 toyos on my avalanche for 3-4years. NEVER had any problems with bent rims and i pulled a uhaul car trailer all over the city with it, It all depends on the tire brand and rim brand but whats weird is i see cars on 18s-22ss with bent rims which i just can't understand. Just use common sense when driving and not go into huge potholes

 

Been running on 295-30-26s with no issues for more than 6 yrs. I always pay attention to the roads & avoid pot-holes at all cost. Truck is lowered 3" front/4" back. Totally agree with women & 26s lol. My wife drives her own SRX with stock 20s & STILL managed to scratch em' up

 

Just have to be cautious with the road with 6's. I have had this size for over 5 years and only bent one wheel. And that was just because it had a lip on the wheel. But also I have have had both 15" Wilwood brakes on the front and also 16" Wilwoods.

Front 17" rotors (432mm), rear 16.1" (410mm)
One size smaller will be 410/390mm which can fit under 20" wheels
