In those threads is one titled "How to pull codes". Study the correct model and year group instructions for how to read and decipher your OBD1 diagnostic codes.
Turn the ignition key forward to light up the instrument cluster, hold down the OFF and RED warmer buttons simultaneously until the cluster fully illuminates, the trouble codes will begin to appear, the blower high and low buttons can be used as yes and no, high (UP) for Yes and low (DOWN) for No. Depress the Auto button to exit diagnostic mode.
My shop owner buddy says he can read ABS codes on most cars. I was going to take him up on that with my Acura but I sold it. I would ask around your local shops to see if they can read ABS codes. They still may not be able to on an OBD1 vehicle but they may give it a try for a small fee.
