I have 75k miles on my 04 Deville when should I replace the timing belt?

Timing belt? Isn't that like a wimpy 4 cylinder thing?

????? Take off the oil fill cap and use a good flashlight to look down into the chaincase. Is there anything down in there other than 3 single roller chains (which will outlast the rest of the car - the basic engine mechanical operation is forever) ??

You need a GM/Helm Factory Service Manual (www.helminc.com) or eBay, or subscribe your car to www.alldatadiy.com. Your car, engine, electronics, suspension, computer data and maintenance bear NO resemblance to whatever you're used to..........
