Hi, I am thinking about getting the ZZP tune and I know that you’ll loose remote start capability but I was wondering if anyone with the ZZP tune could confirm if the lock/unlock functions still works in the Cadillac App for iPhone or android. I tried contacting ZZP but they weren’t sure about it.

I like to lock the keys in the vehicle when I go for a run at the park (I know it’s not the smartest thing to do but it has always worked).

I saw if you rent the laptop and do a little extra work to send them tune info of your car you can keep your remote start

You won’t loose the remote start if the tuner does his job. Turns off other functions. Most has to either with mass air flow (fixed in the tune) or (turn off) exhaust sensors. Mine works fine and I have a ton of mods. Getting more now.

Listening as well. The app is great. I park about a 1/10th mile from my office and although my car is under cover i have to go outside to get there. would be great especially in new england winters to just start from the app. my wife does it for her equinox and loves it.

Why would a tune impact remote start? You don't need to go near anything that would impact remote start in order to get more power or have the automatic transmission shift differently.

Per ZZPs website

Core Charge: There are a couple options here... #1 We can ship you a new PCM core that is already flashed with our file. The benefit of this, is that you can keep your stock PCM to reinstall if you need to bring your car in for warranty work. The disadvantage is that if you have remote start, it will disable it. (This applies to 13-15 ATS & 14-15 CTS only)

If you purchase the tool to load the tune on your factory PCM you don’t have that issue.

I got the tune installed and I am pleased to report the Cadillac App functionality still works including remote start in the app!

Overall the tune seems much smoother than the Diablo tune I had before and the power feels great. The Diablo tune may have had a little more power but this one has better drivability to me.

Actually the key fob remote start works also, not sure if that’s a good or bad thing.

That’s only if you order the new tunes PCM module. If you get the remote tune with cable and laptop to tune existing module, you’ll be fine.
