Ok so just noticed that the 09 CTS I bought last week does not have a spare tire. (found it when looking for the RPO codes)

I understand that some cars came with a kit to inflate a punctured tire instead. But mine has the foam insert, scissor jack, jack handle/lug wrench, threaded post and hold down, as well as the glossy instruction card depicting how to change the tire, just no actual doughnut.

It has RPO code ZAA, does this mean it should have the spare?

Not sure if that's what the zaa means. But that's the risk in buying used

Thanks, that's what I suspected. How the heck do you lose a spare tire. :cookoo: Nothing else appears to have ever been used.

Were the factory spares steel or aluminum?
