Yeah..that's kind of sad. I have yet to have any kind of confrontation from anyone concerning my 'lac. I guess it's because i'm a pretty big guy. Also, thanx to the gun laws, i have a pretty big gun as well. I stay aware of my surroundings whenever I get out of my car. Doesn't matter if I'm at a bank, post office, church or whatever.
I think they should have demolished New Orleans....instead they give the animals $2000 credit cars and let them desecrate other parts of the US..

Its just makes me go berserk to hear about another man gettin ripped of.......

I know a car isnt worth your life.......but if I found him he would wish the flood got him first

My feelings EXACTLY, regardless of what a lot of people might say to be PC...:helpless:

The bad part is, some people are trash and will always be trash no matter what you do. Even if they were to lose everything they had and get out of a terrible situation alive, give them a little $$ to help out and most will still spend it on booze, drugs, strip clubs, etc. and THEN steal your car.

By no means is everyone in New Orleans bad, but it's just another perfect example of where bad people will continue to do bad things, no matter what.
Well I think the word animal is a lil harsh...Don't get me wrong, i'm not advocating robbery regardless of the situation, but it's easy to judge when you or I have not experienced a loss like those people did. I've seen both white and black people doing strange things here in Houston. From begging to grocery shopping in pajamas to using their cards to buy high priced crap in the Galleria (a high end mall). I know a girl that works in Rick's Cabaret and she said she saw some guys using their cards for money to tip. Regardless of the race, that's pretty sad.

When you have been raised in poverty all of your life and the only thing you really know is to take, then it's hard to adjust when you are placed in a better situation. I would like to call this "The Beverly Hillbilly Syndrome". The characters in the show came into some money, moved to Cali, bought a big house and still had farm animals walking around..I mean jethro had a rope for a belt for god's sake! heheh and yes, i'm aware that it was just that...a tv show created for entertainment.

I remember going to New Orleans once when I was doing record promotions and we decided to ride through one of the poorest neighborhoods for the hell of it. I have to honestly say that was the most depressing sh!t i have ever seen. I don't want to get into a debate about "if those people knew better, they would do better", but i'm just saying that if a person been in prison most of his adult life, then it's going to be a little hard to adjust when they get released.

But I agree with you on one thing..it pisses me off to see another person getting ripped off as well. I'm ready to defend my possesions against ANYONE. Okay, time for me to get back to work.

ok, i grew up poor. no heat in the house most of the time, watered down store brand cerial ( on a GOOD day) but one thing my mother always said.... DONT TAKE FROM OTHER PEOPLE, CHANCES ARE THERE WORSE OFF THEN US. i was RAISED to be HONEST. not a THIEF.
Now if everyone had a mother like that, this country would be a much better place.
We can always wish and dream for these things to change.

Its true that the REAL story never gets out to the public. Only what they want us to see and/or hear. This goes on everywhere.

With the weather troubles down south and everyone out of work. Things have gotten worse all over. Not just in TX.

I opened up my doors to a family w/ expecting Mother. They are from New Orlen. area. They were reloacted by FEMA to a hotel. For the amount of time they have stayed in the hotel FEMA could have paid for a house for them just about anywhere or put 1/2 down on one.

They have been more then happy to have room for their 2 yr. old to run and play. And enjoy having room to move around. He is Injured Millitary from Irac and wife is due soon. Just think how this looks if it was ever to get put on CNN? FEMA and Millitary put injured officer and pregnant wife in hotel w/ 2 yr old who lost their home in New Orlen. area storm. :thepan: to CNN and the jerks that are sitting with their thumbs up their arses.
