Got a notice today that the cost of our plan has risen so much the last couple years that my portion 20%, will now be $220.00/mo.
It has been $66.00/mo.
So thanks....I guess.
Hope and Change my A$$!.....:farting:

At least they didn't dump us off to the mercy of the exchange.

Well my opinion is the money is a rip off by your insurance companies....I have government insurance, medicare, it's run by the US government and is a little over $100. a month. Dottie2014 same thing, so I don't believe it has anything to do with the price of insurance. Another thing is you do understand the weak a$$ed insurance you have to buy is not the same as the big shots get where you work right? I agree there is a ripoff going in insurance but the guy everyone blames isn't putting the extra money in o9ff shore accounts after setting up insurance companies like defense folks do......

You really don't think this plan got voted in or are you trying to make excuses for this 'administration'?
Just like everything else, this plan was getting in now matter what the voters said. It was only a matter of time. There are other, more influential forces than your puny vote.

We've voted our influence away a century ago. Nowadays, your vote is just as powerless as mine.

This administrations operations, it's successors, and many of it's predecessors are the result of a broken government. As it stands, it CANNOT function correctly, administration notwithstanding. Obama, Bush, Romney, Clinton, Republican, Democrat...you think any of it actually matters at this point?

To operate correctly, a democracy needs to fear it's people - the ultimate check/balance. We've been in the reverse situation for so long now that things have spiraled beyond control - and the past generations, who felt their sole civic duty was to vote, simply watched it happen. Look where that got us.

The current Tyranny is the result of that neglect.

In order to get a good universal health plan will require the complete overhaul of all the segments that go into making up the U.S. citizens health care. This won't happen because each special interest group knows how to influence Congress and the Executive Branch. The system that preceded so called "Obamacare" was a corrupt and defective system that delivered highly overpriced health care to those lucky enough to be covered by some form of medical insurance. Obamacare continues to support all the corrupt practices of the former system but now spreads the cost of maintaining this system, now the covering of everyone, to all taxpaying Americans (and I do mean income tax paying). Other countries provide universal health care to their citizens (and in many cases superior health, contrary to what Americans are lead to believe) for a far lower cost than either the U.S. previous system or the new Obamacare system.

Wow. Just wow. I get so tired of hearing "if the guy I voted for was in office..." or "this is all Bush's fault" or "this is all Obama's fault." It's so much bigger, deeper, and harder to understand. Most people don't seem to get that. The President of the United States of America is, in some regards, just the world's most powerful scapegoat.
