Has anyone who has tuned there XTS V made a pass down the track? If so what kind of times and mph? What tune and any other modifications?

Hp tuners. I bought it last October with 28k miles. Took it to the track stock went 13.47. Have only gotten 2 passes, first pass went 12.4@ 114, second pass it went 12.2 @ 113.7? Did not launch off boost yet, I think a 12.1 is achievable without changing any parts if it hooks. I really think taking the cats off would be the biggest boost of power at this point, but I haven't figured out how to do it without spending a ton of coin.

I haven’t purchased one yet. I have a Hellcat Charger currently and am wanting to replace with an awd platform with good power. Checking the used market they seem like fantastic buys given there ability to preform and give you awd.

Yeah I came from a mustang that made around 800whp. The caddie is nice, quiet, quick. Doesn't try to kill you every time you take it out. Avg about 23-24mpg and if you can get someone to play, beats everything I have run on the street. The awd works very well.

Hi
What was your stock speed with 13.47 seconds? Seems like a lot of cash to shave about one second off 1/4 mile.
I would expect that an additional 100 HP at the wheels would shave well more than one second off your ET. Anyone else have any more information? Thanks

I am going to go out on a limb and assume you are not a drag racer, which is completely fine the xts-v is not a 1/4mile king. Stock mph was 105. Hp tuners credits for this car are 100 bucks plus 50 for unlocking the fuel module. Spark plugs were 60. So my particular car was able to pick up a calculated 130hp just tuning, based on mph/weight, probably more considering the 60' was worse after tuning due to traction. Even if you paid 500-600 dollars for a potential 100+hp, that is the cheapest hp you are ever going to find.

You are quite right about me not being a drag racer! I’m a retired aeronautical engineer and a specialist in Aerodynamics, aircraft design, flying qualities and performance of US Navy jets. That said, my interest comes from a rather different point of view. I fully agree that paying less than thousands for 100+ HP is a true bargain and I would gladly pay that for a 25+% boost in HP. I’m just unsure that your numbers really represent that much HP gain. But again I’m not an automotive engineer or racing enthusiast. I don’t want to spend money and not feel the results.
I also didn’t understand anything you wrote from the third to the last sentence. Can you kindly explain what you meant. Thank you.

Assuming you mean using hp tuners, yes you have to buy a mpvi2 cable if you don't have one, or go to someone that has one. There are a bunch of different tuning programs out there that all do the same basic thing, just my personal preference on using hp tuners.

There are calculations you can do when you know the weight, and acceleration rate to determine the horsepower it makes. I like to use wallaceracing.com/calculators I have found over the years that his calculators jive pretty close to what my cars have done. You will definitely feel 100+ hp gain on a awd car that makes 400.

I have been playing with the tune on mine. Other than a set of colder plugs completely stock. So far has been a traction limited 12.2
Mine is a 16. What year is your car? Hp only supports to 16. I am in Ny
Hi how are you? I’ve actually been looking to tune my xts v sport too. It’s a 2014 and I was going to have Schimity do a tune on it. I really want to but it’s so e I can’t really afford it. I love the car so much but living in New York the insurance is killer. I just applied my defensive driving course to my insurance today and after that I’m still paying $5600 a year. If you could possibly share your tune with me I would really appreciate it. And I’m going to track my car too so I could give you some results
