What exactly is the problem? What is meant by "just connects and disconnects"?

FWIW, my 2020 XT6 Sport's wireless charger perfectly charges my Samsung A21 Android phone and wireless android auto works perfectly as well (for phone contacts - I haven't yet tried it for anything else).

 

Do you use a plug in module wireless android auto? Wireless didn’t come out until 2021 model year. What I mean by connecting and disconnecting is I can see it start charging and then it stops.

Do you have your iPhone in a case??
If not, the camera bump doesn't allow the phone to lie "flat" on the charger.
Really annoying, and it isn't native to Cadillac. My 14 Pro isn't in a case, and I've yet to find a car where it charges constantly.

 

I do but in all the 23s I drove it worked without a problem

My Samsung A21 is in a leather case and charges quite well in the XT6. FWIW.

Since I “rotated” my phone and put the camera in first it’s been charging consistently.

I am having the same problem in my 2023 XT6, my iPhone charged perfectly in my 2020 XT6. When I place it in the slot the charge light comes on then drive a mile or 2 then stops charging then turns yellow then no charge again I have tried it in all directions.

 

I have seriously never seen a yellow battery symbol in almost a year of driving my 2020 XT6.

Same leather case as always.

 

It goes from green then yellow then off and on back to green but never charges. My 2020 always worked flawlessly

 

I also noticed that my iPhone would hook up to the WI-FI automatically in my 2020. My 2023 have to do it manually every time I get in the vehicle.

 

Had mine back to the dealer 12/8/23. They checked my charger with a dealer device and said it was ok. The service writer stated that they know that they have a problem with apple devices. They are trying to correct it. My friend has a 23 Tahoe and has no problems what so ever and we have the same model Iphones.

 

So I got my 15 pro max working every time, have to go in camera down and at a certain angle.

 

This is probably a lame work-around, but I bought a magnetic charger since my iPhone has the magnetic case. It's plugged in in the console and the magnetic circle is stored in the wireless charging area so I can stick it on my phone easily.

 

I thought about buying some of the magsafe magnets and gluing them to the charging pad to accomplish something similar

 

Going to purchase a new IPhone to see if this will work in my wireless charger in my XT6. Does anyone have the IPhone 14 that use the wireless charging in their vehicle?

 

I had a 14 pro max before my 15 pro max and they both work no problem once you get the orientation right

 

I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max and just recently bought an XT6. I’ve noticed this problem with the wireless charging as well. I think it’s likely a combination of both having a phone case on and also the wireless charger not being perfectly aligned with the wireless charger on the phone. Inserting the phone upside down to fix the issue is proof that this is the main issue.
This misalignment issue is actually why Apple switched to MagSafe for the wireless chargers, to ensure perfect alignment.
Not sure if anyone has done this yet but I think I‘m going to have to remove the existing wireless charger to see about what can be done to modify/upgrade it with a MagSafe puck and also adjusting the position of the charger to ensure the larger Pro Max phones will align as intended.

Let me know if anyone has done this yet!
