This may be long, but worth the read. Just thought I would post this since I think this is a discussion a great deal of you are having. My stock Halogens on my wife's 2019 XT5 were about as bright as holding a 3 cell flashlight out the window. I did some extensive research on upgrading from stock Halogens to LEDs watching about 19 videos and researching 23 LEDs. I am a Cadillac XT5 owner, not affiliated with any company or manufacturer nor do I work on my cars myself. With all the electronics in vehicles, after reading a few articles online, I had concerns about error light coming on, auto high-beam still working etc. After all my research, THE best place to go for LEDs is Headlight Revolution (headlightrevolution.com) where they tested over 300 different LED bulbs, and it was educational. I looked at all the videos and it came down to the GTR Ultra 2s or the SV.4s- I went with the SV4s. They have just 1 LED diode and that is ok since the actuator on your lights automatically make it high beam or low beam (Cadillac didn't know that and said these won't work). These are more expensive than some $40 bulbs but they work to perfection. The SV4s were $169 for both bulbs. I had a local shop I know install them for $100, took them 35 minutes. You do NOT need to remove the grille or anything as indicated in some videos I saw. The SV4s and GTRs come with a can-bus for plug and play installation. Even the shop said how easy they were to install. Drove it for the first time that night....400% improvement with no error messages, no electrical problems and auto high beam worked flawlessly. The difference from the yellow stock halogens is remarkable. Photo shows the difference between the halogen and bright LED. Just my 2 cents everyone.

Denny, I see you have posted this link for this company a couple of times, and I'm not following you.

I also see you posted a couple of times on this thread, that has a wealth of info on upgrading the stock halogens:

If you review that thread again, you will see a large number of us have upgraded to the Auxito LED's for $40 a PAIR TOTAL, and they are brighter than heck, and do a fantastic job.

So, why do you keep pushing this company's product for more than 4 TIMES the cost, if you truly have no affiliation?

Seems the only posts you've made is to promote this company?

Why?

Only reason I read how many upgraded and they had problems or burned out quickly or had error issues. I am retired special agent and have nothing to do with headlight revolution or and company. I was hesitant at first to even upgrade after reading issues.

Ok just went on this and saw 4 were deleted. The original was my first post ever and I must have hit post several times. I never saw the Auxito LED post since I originally was asking if the conversion to LEDs could be done with success. I am not a car guy at all. After all my research I was excited it could be dome without any complications to the electrical system. Was just trying to help. Apologize if you found this offensive in that I was trying to push a product - not true, or think I was trying to add info in your space.

Denny, I believe you are on the Cadillac XT5 pros and Cons twitter pages too. Me too. I was wondering if you have had any issues with these LED headlights. I read that the can bus will not create codes and errors. Did your mechanic explain any details? How long they will last compared to the OEM yellow crap lights? Really just wondering of any problems and if they would void any warranties.

Liam no issues at all. The mechanic said they were plug and play just like OEM where all pins aligned. I don’t work on cars myself at all so I had the shop install them. No error messages or anything and I have auto dim high/ low beams. Used them for about 3weeks now and what a difference. They said I should never have to replace them. He said some people use really cheap LEDs and come back in 9 months to replace them. He said he installs a lot of lighting and actually took the light info down and will suggest them to customers. I am retired special agent and don’t have any affiliation with the manufacturer just so you know.

I already read the posts here and presume Denny offered great help on the LEDs. My concern is there are reputable sellers and then there are the crap ou of China. North American producers of the CANBUS LEDs would most likely be well qualified and probably sell a better quality product.

I don't believe any LED lights are made in the USA. I'll bet even the OE LED bulbs comes from China. But there is "cheap generic Chinese crap" and then there is "parts made in China for a domestic company". The latter is usually of better quality.

Liam, the point was, there are a large number of folks here who have been using the Auxito LED's at $40/pair, and they very high quality, are extremely bright, and I've not heard of a failure yet. I have them in two vehicles, once with high and low beams, and they are truly incredible.

To Rudeney's point, they are all made in China nowadays, and like anything - There is junk, and then there is the high end quality products. The nice thing about this forum is, we can share our experiences to help sift through the garbage, and the ridiculously over priced items, and find the reasonably priced, high quality items that work as well or better than else anything out there.

But ultimately, go with whatever you think is best for you.

As an update, I have just started noticing some flickering with one of the bulbs after 13 months. They have a 2 year warranty, so I just sent an email to the customer service for warranty support. I will report back how that goes.

First thing I notice when I drove my new XT5 at night was WOW, these LED headlights are amazing and not even comparable to the halogen in my 18 XT5. If you run halogen I'd look at upgrading particularly if you travel the highway at night lots. The difference is amazing. Now I'm talking about the OEM LED's, but I'm guessing if you can find a good aftermarket they too will perform better.

I bought the Auxito LED's for my 2017 XT5 very first thing after my first night time drive, been in the car now almost 2 years and no problems whatsoever. Best upgrade I've done so far. I installed them my self and only took around 30 minutes at best. I'm not saying other bulbs are better or worse, but these Auxito were recommended to me and I am very happy with them. Just my $.02 and hope this helps.

Too much my bulbs are cheaper than your bulbs so they must be better for everyone. Better when multiple solutions are presented without unnecessary accusations and people have more solutions to make their own choice.
