Looks great. If I wasn't gonna trade mine in in the next year or two max I'd do the same. I like the third brake light the most TBH. Looks cool blacked out.

 

Home Run! This was the first upgrade I had done when I got the car, Followed by the Factory Hitch. I am looking to upgrade the Transmission Cooler. You plan on upgrading yours with the OEM part? Did you ever order that Cloth Tape to wrap wiring? I received my 5 rolls last month. Makes any wire additions look factory and keeps things quiet.

I only use my hitch for a bike rack, so no plans on towing or adding the Transmission cooler. Keep forgetting about the cloth tape 🤣

I drove my car 3.5 hours each way back to the dealer I bought it from so they could install the set for free since the local dealer wanted to charge me like 480 bucks in labor to install them...

 

Hi all older post I know but I have a question. One of my taillights need replacing so I figured I’d upgrade to the clear. The original red single light is more than the set of 3 clear lights from Cadillac for both. Why is the clear light so much cheaper?

Well I FINALLY pulled the trigger on the official Cadillac 'Accessory Clear Tail Lights' and boy am I glad I did. These things look SO much better than the stock photos online! I attempted to get some good video footage of them, but you really have to see them in person to fully appreciate them - they REALLY upgrade the look of the rear of the XT5. Keep in mind these are also the tail lights that now come standard on the Sport Trim of the 2020 XT5.

Anyway, this video is mostly a guide on how to replace both tail lights, as well as the 3rd brake light. The 3rd brake light replacement requires removal of the 'spoiler' - so that is also covered in this video. So this should be handy for not only people wanting to upgrade, but also those needing to replace a faulty or damaged light. Enjoy!

Honestly, my guess would be supply and demand. Think of how many fender benders there are where one regular red light is damaged. I can count on one hand the XT5s I have seen with the clear lights.

 

Anyone have pics of a white XT5 with the clear lights?
