hey everyone so my XT5 2017 suddenly show up this massege about ( steering assist is reduced drive with care ) + check engine light + AC fan always on high even without ac working + cooling temperature is cold all the time

plz help anyone face all of that ?
my car is under 20k miles

thanks for your help, already fixed with my dealership the problem was from the thermostat sensor

Same thing here, minus the check engine light and plus the A/C compressor not kicking in. Car is currently in the dealer waiting for spare parts to arrive, I will update the parts that were replaced once I receive the report. Car is just under 100K KM (~60K Miles).

update : i went to the dealership and they did a fully checkup the results was temperature sensor + heat valve with housing

its been a while now and everything was great

The same message was show on screen, the thermostat was always at the low/cold position and the air conditioner would not work. This occurred for nearly two full days and then suddenly it started working message went away, thermostat registered and the AC worked. When the service manager checked the codes he stated nothing was showing up at all. Quite concerned there is an electrical issue.

well if there is no codes available that’s a big problem, same what iam facing now with transmission messages no codes showin

i believe the XT5 having alot of electrical errors or messages i saw alot in this forums having alot of messages!!!

Interesting you say that as I had a service transmission message appear one time before the issues described above occurred. Love Cadillac but have to admit that for having this car for less than a year I am not pleased.

it’s a big shock of cadillac that much of errors & messages
too sorry that my car stays in the dealership longer than it stays with me & here we’re loosing trust of our XT5 especially when you drive it for long trips ...

some people said that might be death battery even if it’s still in green !! but the dealership well not change it until it fully dies

Your 2018 is likely under warranty. Your mileage certainly qualifies.

Go to the dealer asap for a better chance it is under warranty and have it diagnosed.

this just happened to me today all exact same issues. Also my transmission light came on a few months back just once and dealership said it might b a battery issue. Have an appointment to take in tomorrow. Love my xt5 but definitely has electrical issues
