I programmed a bunch of XM stations (XM 1&2) to whatever I wanted to listen to back in May. Over the last week, twice now, my presets have all reset to channel O on XM 1 & 2. But, if you hit any button that now reads Ch.0, it still plays what was originally programmed and the main display still shows the originally programmed station or channel. EXAMPLE: main display=THE GROOVE but shows CH.0. on the right tabs, for all stations. Anyone ever seen this happen? I can put each station back in by holding the button down until I get the beep.
Also, the DSP sound enviroment is acting up: I can set DSP to- DRIVERS SEAT, SPACIOUS,ETC. Every time I turn off my car it resets itself to NORMAL, no matter what. Sometimes it changes without turning the car off. Never did this before either and both issues started at the same time.:banghead:
Any known fix before I take it next week to get a TSP replaced?

I have had the EXACT same issue. I put it on my 'list' for my first dealer visit. I'm hoping it is something that can be fixed with a DIC flash (or something of that sort).

P.S. yes I said DIC Flash.

Same issue in mine, I am currently ignoring the issue as it comes and goes. The dealer said they need to replace the whole nav and radio so I'm waiting in hopes the replacement will be the updated system with traffic. It really doesn't bother me at all since I know which presets are what and my system hasn't done it in months. Mine did exactly what you described but for a very short time, typically it just changes the preset display on occasion.

mine did that once too - I was able to push each button and it reloaded the data. probably a SW bug, but not something I will worry about unless it starts happening all the time. problem would be replicating for the dealer too.

At least I'm not the only one to see this. All in all its kinda minor but I'll mention it when I take it in for a TPS replacement. I have a couple of buttons scratched so I may just go for a NAV replacement. By the way, almost everyone gets such a kick out of the NAV and all of its screens. So glad I have it.

Mine periodically does this too. I have always assumed, and possible incorrectly so, that it had to do with the quality of the XM signal on startup. I figured that the system sent out some sort of self test message, or looked for a particular ID signal, and it if it didn't get some sort of ACK or other confirmation from the system, it would show "0". since the station "names" can be changed by XM at any time, the station names are not locally stored in your car....only the "channel" number.

I'm sure that there is an XM or Sirius geek here who can explain this....

I would like to know as well. Personally I believe it is poor programming on the radio unit. (Improper error trapping)

Mine does it but not bad...I'll dance with the devil I know (until I can get the 2006 Nav with the traffic display).
