This q is more for my Black XLR seats but I suppose all years are the same.

Q is based on that the leather does not suck in leather treatments/balsam like
I am used to on other cars and home leather sofas

The seating surfaces that actually touch your body are leather. The side panels are textured vinyl. The leather parts are a sealed chrome tanned type and do not readily absorb preservatives or cleaning combinations. I prefer to use Fiebing's neat's foot oil, rub it on, let sit overnight, buff off. Either on Amazon or in a saddle tack store.
