You are right about that Z06. I remember one of my customers would never use the auto because of her windows. She had to use the self serv and then not get the spray close to certain areas. I remember that she had only one headlight for years. I ask her why and she said she couldn't afford it!

About 4 years ago, I turned down a beautiful 93 Allante with 27k miles on it. (I was afraid of the roof leaking.) I knew the owner. I could have bought it for $10k, but I was stupid, thinking I wanted a SDV. That car was easily worth $18 k. I could have traded it in an a SDV. Win some; lose some.

My 2006 leaks a little around the 1/4 windows going into a touchless wash. Dealer says this is normal but would let someone look at it if it was a problem with "Garden hose" pressure. I have not done anything about it because I wash it by hand 95% of the time and use a pressure washer without hitting the 1/4 windows hard and no leaking.

Yeah, your right. I would say my nozzles are at least 24" away at all times. I get a drip or trickle sometimes on the passenger side door window but I see this as a very common occurrence with rag tops. But there is no heavy dripping. At least not in my automatics, or self service. Now if you were to hold the nozzle very close, say 4", then your asking for a leak. My automatics pressure on eighteen nozzles at the same time is 1100 lbs. and the self serv is set at 1250 lbs. The spot free water is 150 lbs. A lot of times because I have such a polished finish on the car, the low pressure spot free water is all I use, because the car rarely is "dirty" just dusty.
