WTB a near stock CTS-V, 6 speed. Must be clean, within driving inspection distance of the Boston area.

What he means is....there is no 2008 CTS-V. The breakdown of years is:

2004-2005: Gen1 with LS6
2006-2007: Gen1 with LS2 (much slower then 2004-2005)
2009+: Gen2 with LSA :)cloud9:)

Everyone knows the LS2 is a superior engine. Those LS6 guys make me laugh! :histeric:

mods are gonna love this one.. IBTL

Whatever you do pick one up with the extended warranty. you never know how the previous owners treated the car. Driver abuse/ poor driving techniques is the leading cause of all :v: common problems imo.... other then the halfass motor mounts, whining diff, and rare cases of a defective radiators or power steering pump. these cars are pretty reliable in my experience if they are properly maintained.

you both have about the same numbers with your mods.. IT would be a drivers race imo..

until we get a :v: shoot out LS6 vs LS2

Alll :v:'s are EQUAL

but
if were talking about sophistication and engineering the LS6 has it
If were talking about TQ potential and mid range power the LS2 has it

OP, some insightful reading: http://cadillacfaq.com/faq/index.html

All information about the cars is there or in this forum using the search. So before you post another thread asking what to look for when buy a V just read the faq and this forum and you will know 100% more than any dealer (minus a couple at Lindsay) and 80% than a V owner that has never been to this site (who would do that?).

Buy a stock one and do some crazy modding to it and post all details here and liven this place up.

I miss the spam thread.
