With things going the way they seem to be it is not beyond one's imagination. After all who would have thought you could buy an Indian Jaguar or a German Bentley! Just a thought.

If I did buy a Chinese Caddy, would it be smaller, more efficient, and make me not know how to drive? lol Companies are outsourcing everything now, like the new VW vans in Canada are made in Ontario. Ford has been doing it for a long time, take the Ranger for example, aside from the way it looks it is all Mazda.

I would buy it used, from an American dealer/person. I believe disproportionate outsourcing is the #1 reason our economy is shrinking. Fair trade=more money, jobs, and Cadillacs here.

I can say with about 90% certainty it would be no. It would have to be very, very good, and I just don't think that a Chinese firm can make a car of the quality I'd demand of it. Certainly wouldn't while there are viable American alternatives.

Correct. Not only is it longer wheelbase than the domestic version, but it has an absolutely smokin' interior that some fool at Cadillac decided we shouldn't get.

Based on the STS luxury sedan, the SLS is stretched 100 mm. The additional length results in a luxurious and spacious interior with rear legroom of 1060 mm. The design of the SLS is unmistakably Cadillac. Diamond-faceted contours echo the geometry of other Cadillac vehicles. Subtle V-shapes, inspired by Cadillac`s shield badge, are a recurring motif in both the exterior and interior design. In typical Cadillac fashion, the SLS interior design and fit and finish deliver an outstanding experience from any seat. Ambient lighting, Tuscany leather and sapele pommele wood accents all give the cabin a relaxing and premium look and feel.

Under the hood, the Northstar 4.6 liter V-8 engine produces 320 horsepower, giving the SLS outstanding performance. The six-speed automatic transmission is electronically-controlled. Magnetic Ride Control and StabilTrak, along with a sport suspension, deliver both a refined ride and responsive handling.

The SLS is only available in China and the Middle East (built in Shanghai), has more standard options then our STS, as well as an interior that exceeds the regular build quality of most Cadillacs.

In terms of luxury, its really the best thing Cadillac currently has to offer.

Here, have some more awesome interior.

That rear seat reminds me of a 1990 Seville STS I used to own. It too had the full lenght console and two buckets in the rear, kind of looked like a private jet in the back seat.

You must post pictures of this. I have NEVER seen a Seville like that which makes me think it was a custom job and I am curios to see what it looked like.

Rear seat buckets are SO awesome. What's 100mm, appx, 5" -- the current STS is in desperate need of that. As far as the dash goes, I'm not seeing a huge difference in that and the current STS.
