I'm buying an additional set of OEM wheels for my Vagon to throw some Sottos on for winter wheels, since I can't find a less expensive option that I like. Apparently, the polished and non-polished wheels cost the same, so I'm leaning towards the polished, but I'm wondering how they'd hold up in the winter salt and muck. Would the nonpolished resist the salt better? Any thoughts?

I would imagine the polished wheels are clearcoated. So both really are painted wheels. And both will resist salt about a million times better than chrome wheels. I'd suggest you buy what you prefer, and just try to clean them rather frequently in the winter to minimize the salt damage (a good idea for the underside of the car, too).

Granted I don't live in the cold north, I agree with what you just said. :)

Thanks for the responses, all! I'm going to go with a set of the polished wheels. I'm guessing the graphite would be more expensive, and I'm personally not a fan of the graphite with thunder grey, anyway.

Don't mean to hijack thread, but I have a set of polished OEM wheels off my 2010 sedan if your interested. They were on the car for less than 500 miles and are in great shape

$1000 for the set

I tried to post the link to the add that I placed in the classified section, but I do not have enough posts. You can find the add on the 4th or 5th page of the classified section

Well I'm in the frozen north and my V is parked for the winter, my experience with the painted wheels on my Cayenne has been excellent so far. They are a breeze to keep clean, I never have to wipe them like my polished V wheels always require, and the brake dust just washes off like nothing, I wish my V wheels were this easy to maintain (even using the armorall protectant). If it were me I'd go painted and try it out, I've been very happy with this setup.
