well, i'm not sure what is around boston, but here in the detroit area we have costco's and sam's clubs galore. my dad told me about some thicker rubber mats he picked up for his Vue. they ran like 15 or 20 bucks and i think you get 2 fronts and 2 small rears. the plastic is heavy duty, has raised ribs, and it fit into my caddy pretty good. i have the tan interior also, so you can bet i'll be stopping in there soon so i don't trash my carpet inserts (especially with our lovely slush filled winters).

i believe they have both the black and tan rubber...for 15-20 bucks might be worth a look...
Ok cool, I have both Costco's and BJ's (Sam's Club) right down the street from my house... I'll go take a look this weekend.

Thanks!
They have cool rubber mats that collect the water and debris. But I bought a cheap set at Walmart as I prefer the feeling of carpet to hard rubber.

One of our vendors has a sale going on. It's a new thread and that have several kind of mats.
I ordered some from gmpartsdirect 2 weeks ago, they just showed up today. They look nice. Front and back was 109 shipped.

Part Number 12498104: Front set
Part Number 12498107: Back set

They are pewter with CTS logo's on the front set.

those CTS mats are bad ass, i love them, BUT...i seriously couldn't justify spending over 100 dollars on plastic mats because they say CTS...

the list is long, and i gotta say that ain't on the top. but man are those nice...maybe an x-mas present...

Guy has a bunch on ebay for 49.99 + 12.95 ship

edit: just the front floor mats
I saw the same hex-design mats on another website...I dont know if they said CTS though. They were listed for 39 dollars. Do a thread search and you might come across the same website. GMPartsdirect can be expensive.
I have a set of WeatherTechs. They're OK, but not great. Too bad they don't make Husky Liners for the CTS. I've used them in my trucks for ages.

CAR Motorsports offers a LIFETIME warranted rubber winter mat for $99.95 for the 4pc set. These are super effective and fit like a glove. Here's a link to our site with more info.

Well the price for just the front mats was ~$51. That doesnt include shipping. I bought all 4 becasue I have people in the back alot of the time, and I want to avoid stains on the tan carpet.
They were a b-day present from my wife (that I picked out) :)
Considering the overall price of the car I didnt think the brand name mats were that bad a price. They are nice quality rubber, not hard cheap plastic mats. I mean, wouldent it just be wrong to drive around in a ~$40k car with 'Walmart special' floormats? :hide:

Here in Minnesota with a nice long winter/wet season you might have your all weather mats in 6 months out of the year. Why go cheap.

to afford wheels, tint, and a supercharger...

:)

i'm not saying i won't still get the mats...

:bigroll:
I use some old mats from another car. They don't even match, but indeed it is just to keep the dirt of the tan mats...

Hi all, Im new here. We have quite a bit of experiance with winter up here in Canada. Although I don't have to drive my CTS too often in the winter as I have two other vehicles, I did plan ahead and just happened to find a set of four floor mats that match the colour and interior of my car pretty closely. And they were cheap to boot - $30 Can at a retailer called Canadian Tire.

They are cheep enough that I bought a spare set. They are made of a heavy rayon wool like material that a little carpet cleaner should be able to take care of if (who am I kidding - when) they get dirty. We use too much salt up here - hence my garage will see more of the car during the winter then I will.

Here's a pick of my car and mats

Hey, glad to meet you. It's turn 5 (Moss Corner) at Mosport at 7:00am taken during our last Ontario regional race weekend in Sept.

I did a couple of fast laps in the morning before the racing started. You really have to keep it off the curbs in the mornings as they are slicker then s... and you don't want to see what a car looks like as it rotates off into tire barriers...:crying: If you get the exit out of 5B just right you can get a good run for the Andretti straight - I saw 190K on the speedo before corner 8. I've had it higher - but can't say where...:lildevil: 240K for a short burst once.
You really have to check the pressures before. At Mosport if you run at 44lbs I find the Stabitrac goes silly, I run without it and lower the pressures to 38lbs. You can get two fast laps and then you really have to re-think what your doing as the brakes get too hot and you risk Fing up your tires.
These cars are not race cars, but great highway crusers. Corner 2 is scary when you are already loose at the first apex and you STILL have to turn in for the second apex! I stuffed a mustang backwards in my first year racing - hurt for 2 weeks - the respect for turn 2...will last forever!

I see too many guys come out and do lapping days or solo 2 days and go stupid and end up flat bedding the remains home. Insurance free mode if you crash. It's not worth it. Want to race - buy a race car! There are lots of used regional cars like Camero's you can pick up for 10K and have a blast with.

Here's a wider view of corner 5.
