Easy. It'll be between. 250-350 for replacement. I'd look into filling it first though. $20 and typically works good.

Most insurance coverage here in MN is free glass coverage and free fillings too.
I had a chip repaired on my 02 Deville DTS and after it was done I told them I didn't like the way the repair looked and they replaced the windshield no questions asked and no cost to me.

Just make sure to get the proper glass for a car with a HUD otherwise you will have a somewhat blurry image and potentially dimmer as it may not be reflective enough to allow you to see the HUD.

Well that took longer than I thought it would. Had to get glass from gm. Would have been 1200 out the door if insurance didn't pay.

IMHO, better to get GM glass, I've had some nasty quality aftermarket glass . .

Only thing to be careful of the trip on the left and right side of the glass is easy to bend. One of mine was ever so slightly caught in the sealant at install and it bent upon removal.

Can I ask if your STS v has heads up display?

I have been looking for a replacement windshield for my 2005 STS 1SG with HUD and rain sense since last September, 2014, and GM told me they cannot get me a windshield.

If your car has HUD, might you know the part number of your windshield?

Really frustrated with my cracked windshield, and Cadillac's "oh well" attitude...

My car has rain sense, hud and lane departure. I will see if I have a part number on the paper work tomorrow.

We took a chunk of asphalt threw are windshield, about a 2 inch hole scared the crap out of the wife . We live in calif. That was in 2011 I found a shop in temecula an had the window Installed for 750ish with hud an ll the b.s . . The installer did break the lane departure . that took a while to get them to pony up.
