Your insurance wont cover it? I'm guessing you're tired of the pitting rather than looking through spider webs. I would suggest just calling one of the major auto glass companies in your area and get a quote. A passenger front window was $250 on my last car if I remember correctly so windsheild I assume is way more.

Cost of windshield = $237.30
Cost of sealant kit w/ shield = $42.00

Repair hours = 2.4 --> so depending on what the rate/hour is you should be able to get a pretty accurate approximation from these numbers, which are from a hail damage claim last summer.

why so much time to replace the windshield? I had on on another car done in one hour. is it that much different for this car? just asking.
I don't know why. Those are just the numbers that my insurance company provided.

I'm basically tired of the pitting and spider webs...otherwise there's nothing wrong with it.

$500 through my insurance...if it's $250 or less for OEM then negatory on using insurance.

I think mine was around $240.
