Your insurance wont cover it? I'm guessing you're tired of the pitting rather than looking through spider webs. I would suggest just calling one of the major auto glass companies in your area and get a quote. A passenger front window was $250 on my last car if I remember correctly so windsheild I assume is way more.
I had mine replace 5 years ago at a cost of $540 (covered by seller of car, I bought it with a crack). That was an original GM windshield. That was cost including install
Cost of windshield = $237.30
Cost of sealant kit w/ shield = $42.00
Repair hours = 2.4 --> so depending on what the rate/hour is you should be able to get a pretty accurate approximation from these numbers, which are from a hail damage claim last summer.
Really depends on the brand windshield you buy. If you go with original part it's expensive. I just replaced mine with an replacement brand looks great for $185 installed.
