Window won't close using FOB

I just bought a Black 05 STS and I just love it. I have been going through the owners manual and it says when you hold the lock button for more then 2 second that the open windows will express close. The windows will express close using the switch but not the FOB.
My windows will not close.
Can anyone shine some light on my problem,

If the battery has ever been disconnected, the express close function won't work either by the fob or the door switches. Look in the manual and it will describe how to reset or re-program the express close function.
Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that was a misprint in the 2005 STS manual? The ability to close the windows with the remote started with 2006 Model.

I had the correct thread. I got confused when I saw a response hit before mine did. New at this game.

In my early build 2006 the dealer service department had to 'turn on' the feature. It works now.
I have an 05 1SG and it works well on my car so the 2005 does have that option:thumbsup:
wait can someone explain this feature what it does and how it works?
i have an 05 but this feature is not working .....how can i activate it?????
Do we understand the original question from Billd0957? I believe he is trying to close his windows from outside the car. With the feature he is refering to, after you have started to walk away from your car and you realize your windows are open, you should be able to press the lock button on your fob then release and hold it down for 2 seconds. The windows should then close.

Mine does not work either. Just tried it. Everything else works. Door locks, remote start, trunk, start button... just the windows don't close. I will try FOB 2 when I get home. What could keep this from working?
I still believe that this function does not work on an 05. I have other friends with 05's and it does not work on theirs. Like I said originally, I had heard that Cadillac made an error in the 05 manual. That is what I understand. I hope I'm wrong for you 05 'ers.

Thank you all for your answers, I am going to ask the dealer this evening.
I will let you know what they said
I have a 2005 STS V8 and it works perfectly. Now keep in mind this car has every feature you could get besides AWD.
Maybe it was a mid year or late 2005 change. So build dates might matter. :hmm:

My question for him is; what's the matter with your brain can't you understand that members with 05's as myself are telling you we have this option yet you still insist that Cadillac made an error i the 05 maual.......DUH ????

( better read your manual or get yours fixed)
I have an 07. Mine works fine. I was trying to help the guy out based I what I had heard. Could be a mid year change. No DUH"S needed.
