The problem I am having is the tint on the rear window is bubbling and needs to be removed. I brought it to a window tint place and they are affraid to remove the tint because it was installed on the outside of the glass and goes under the cloth top (they seem to think it is part of the cloth top). Its a 2004 Deville DTS with EG Classic top. Anyone have any information on this? The top is in perfect shape, the tint is horrible and needs to be removed. Suggestions?
=================================== Razor blade the tint film and leave the tint edge under the top and trim pieces.
that sounds like a PERFECT solution -
Agreed that is probably the only fix and is kind of what I was planning to do. Just wondering if anyone knows if the tint came with the top and that is why it is on the outside? Or did they install the tint first and the top second and one has nothing to do with the other? Just seems odd they would install the tint on the outside?
Thanks!
