I was putting up my Drivers side rear window and it made a funny noise and fell back down. I pulled it back up but it still falls right back down. When I press the switch on either switch it clicks but no movement. I took the door panel off (which is a bitch by the way) and checked a few things out, I couldnt seem to come to a conclusion there is just nothing moving and nothing holding it up. Any help would be great. Thank You

Did you take the water deflector off, too (big black thing with white retainers)? You should be able to see the window regulator and track as well as the motor once you do that.

Here's what you're looking for:

The manual says you have to remove the inside door handle assembly in order to get at the window clamp attachment bolts. You have to hook the door module back up (which you'd have disconnected to take the door panel off) and raise the window to the full up position (you'd have put it down to remove the door panel). You then need to TAPE the window in place. You then loosen the clamps from the glass and "lower" (I don't know if this means with the switch or manually, but there is a CAUTION about the "express down" feature) the regulator clamps to the full down position. Remove the 3 nuts from the regulator/motor assembly and the whole thing should come out.

When you put it back in it says to 'carefully raise the window regulator clamps to the full up position, engaging the window'. Untape the window, lower the window about two inches. Seat the window 'fully rearward against the center pillar'. Adjust the window forwad 2-3mm (5/64-1/8"). Set the glass with the clamp fasteners. Tighten the window clamp fasteners to 93 in/lbs (INCH lbs).

I've never done it, but it looks like removing the door panel and water deflector is 80% of the battle.

So in conclusion, you think that the Motor/Regulator assembly is at fault. After doing some research, it appears that these seem to be a notorious problem area in the 2000+ Devilles.
It definitely has someting to do with the motor/regulator assembly. If the motor is still running but the window isn't moving then the window must have come loose from the clamps or the gears in the regulator assembly have stripped and the motor is no longer moving it. I'd take it back apart and operate the switch to see what's going on in there.

The motor is riveted to the regulator. I think you can buy a motor separate from the regulator assembly, but I don't think you can buy the regulator assembly separate from the motor. List on the LH regulator assembly is around $300. I wouldn't go with a used part unless you want to have to do it again soon.
