I have an '02 Escalade, now I have bought a complete interior from an '06 and want to swap that into the '02. I know there was a major change in the electronics in 03. But my question is, will I be able to somehow use the existing wiring in the 02 and just make the switches from the 06 work as ordinary switches? I know that the 02 switches is ordinary switches that just close the circuit and that the 06 switches send a signal to the BCM and then the BCM send a signal back to the window motor etc.
I just want the new switches to work as they look much better.

Any advice is appreciated as there is nobody here in Norway who's got a clue.

I suggest just transferring the old switches as the fronts wouldn't match with the data bus of the truck
I say this as I have access to a 02 and a 03 the switch position(the door modules)is close to being the same but the wiring both in the data bus and in the position along with the amount of wires is different between the two years

FYI the center console is also different on the 03-06 model years the 02 has a set of mid range horn drivers that the 03-06 doesn't have

If you are dead set on doing this you are going to have some work to do

Yes, I will do it. I have a complete 06 interior here and I'm going to put it in:) So when you say use the old switches do you mean use the whole assembly? Or is there some way I could make the 06 switches to work as an ordinary switch.

You will have to use the olde switches FYI the 02's have center console cubby light that the 03-06 don't have and remember that the sub is also located under the console 03-06 where as the 02's sub is in the rear and the 02's have two mid range horn drivers in the console and the rear seat audio controls are different between the 02 and 03-06

Have you got any clue if it's possible to use the +03 switches as some kind of "dummy" switches. Make them function as a normal switch of some kind? Sorry if this is a stupid question, but there are not a lot of info on these cars here in Norway.

Which switches?
The front windows switches are a no go due to the different setup of the switches internally
