I have a feeling its gonna look kinda "avalanchish" if it doesnt have the side claddings that the 07 spy pic for the reg lade didnt have. Notice even how in this pic you cant even see the cover bulging where the side cladding should be. I hope Im wrong though.

True, especially considering the Escalade is one of the models (the other being the Denali) that will not only get the Displacement On Demand feature, but also the new 6-spd automatic--if the regular 5.3L Tahoe, with DOD and the old 4-spd can get those numbers, then the higher-output 6.2L in the Escalade matched with the new transmission should get about the same.

Kinda true, but what you see is what you're going to get on ALL '07+ Escalade models, which is this:


In theory, they're going even more for the mostly slab-sided, chiseled look of the latest Caddy cars (CTS & STS). Hence, the removal of the cladding.
