hi, i just bought a 86 fleetwood brogham for 500 bucks and it has no power. It has a 5.0 with 86,000 on it it probably needs a tune up but will it always be on the weak side?

Well it's rated at 140hp / 255 torque, and it's nearly 4000 pounds. So you can't expect it to be a speed demon.

The power to weight ratio prob. isn't great. I had the same problem with my Grand Marquis. 4000 lbs and 190 hp! It needed another 50 hp to climb hills, etc. Sounds like you need Katshot to work on your Caddy. ;)

actually the empty weight is 4500lbs, but add a full tank of gas, 2 people and some other crap and it's over 5000lbs.....and yeah, the 307 has no power, best thing to do is get a 350 or LT1, build it up, drop it in and have fun.
