Since Northstar are so bad about overheating and since aluminuim heads it can destroy your car you would think everyone would buy the new failsafe thermostats, what am i missing?
But even so, if you on the road and your thermostat fails, you have to pull over and have a tow, with failsafe you good to make it home, right? or still would you go with a reglar ac delco thermostat?Gimmick is why.
If HG fails no thermostat in the world is going to help regardless of engine.
N* aren't so bad about overheating either. In reality the percentage is low, compare it to lifter failures on GM trucks which is high.
Aluminum heads aren't the issue... Fine threads into aluminum block was the issue and poor castings quality.
