I need replace this parts, becouse my is broken.
Who know what is this and what name of this part??
In my 68 Caddy Deville this part is mounted under the steering column.
it looks like the ignition switch, sometimes called the starter switch, I think. I replaced it on my 69 and it wasn't fun. Part was pretty cheap though.
Thanks for Your answer.
I bought this on ebay and now got a problem with connection it.
Electrical is ok i know where and how but what about vacuum??
Where start vacuum line to this part??
----------
Maybe any forum User got a vacuum diagram to 68 Caddy Deville??
When I have obscure electrical parts that I feel the replacements are way over priced on, I sometimes take them to TV/Radio repair shops, or hobbyists. I've had luck doing this and saved tons of cash.
I have one of those sitting on my shelf. I bought it thinking it would fit my 68 Buick with column shift. I was wrong..... I ended up dismantling and repairing my original.
To my knowledge it doesn't have vacuum connections. Maybe there are two versions? one with e-brake release, one without? What else would be powered by the NSS vacuum? I didn't think that feature existed back then.
