White Diamond Touch Up Alternative?

I have the GM Mfg. white diamond touch up bottle. I find it worthless. I have even tried putting down a white base coat and it still appears dark. Has anyone found a single step touch up paint from some other manufacturer that matches the CTS white diamond? I would be happy just to get close to the color.

A previous generation CTS I owned was white diamond. LOVED the colour, so nice when polished and a sunny day. But yes, the touch up paint doesn't match well and it's pretty tough to find anything that matches that tri-coat, because it's a TRI coat. So three layers with either a pearl or candy being one coat. So a touch up paint can't achieve the final outcome properly. So although I loved my CTS white diamond, I now buy only black. Black touch up is the easiest out there lol.

The clear coat is the same for all so it is basically a 2 part system. The Mfg AC Delco touch up pen I have does not come with a base coat. I tried using a basic white base coat but as mentioned the tint coat is watery and seems to lack proper color so you end up with a much darker finish. I was hoping to find someone that might have found a white pearl single color.

As posted, it's a 3-part paint system - Base Coat, Tint Coat, Clear Coat. Applied in 3 steps. GM name is "White Diamond Pearl Tri-coat".

There is no "white pearl" or White Diamond single-part touchup that I know of - and I work part time behind the parts counter at our local Western (Tire &) Auto.

I appreciate your reply but there is still some confusion. I included a link at the end that shows the product. If you scroll all the way down to the bottom to "product description" there are only 2 paints listed. 1. .25 oz. base coat and 2. .25 oz. clear coat. There is no "tint coat" and I can tell you that the base coat is not even close to the right color. So much that it was suggested I use a white undercoat to help get to the correct match which did not work. I was working on a somewhat large "rub" on the bumper where someone had backed out, turned there wheel too sharp and rubbed off the paint. Underneath was black bumper which was reason for white undercoat. Can you explain more this "tint" you mention which I seem to be missing? Here is link to product; https://www.amazon.com/ACDelco-19367784-Diamond-Touch-Up-Packaging/dp/B010GGDR4S

I strongly suggest you take the 30 seconds to get to your 2014 paint color in the link provided in Post #2 as of 32 hours ago. Click on your paint color and look at the different coats required.

About the ONLY way to get a flawless tricoat paint match from online original paint formulas is if the car is garaged at all times. Otherwise the UV rays and weather take their toll and a correct match comes only from a GOOD paint shop and photochromic matching custom mixes.

I checked the site you posted originally and see what you mean about the base coat. I guess my question is "how are we supposed to know about that when almost all searches show the AC-Delco 2 part touch up tube". Mine even came from the Dealer as a negotiated part of our 2014 CTS purchase.
