ladies and gents...i posed the question a while back about getting some wheels next season and was lookin for some styles. well, i really dig black wheels, as they look uber sporty, but i didn't know about a white car and black wheels...

well, i found this beaut on the www.iforged.com website and i think this car looks pimp. what do you guys think? if i painted the grill black, lower louver black, got my dark tint and some wheels like this how do you think it might look? well maybe not paint the grill black...but do the other stuff...

original?
piece of trash?
pretty cool?

help me out here...

If you don't mind a 45 year old comment. Even my generation would think that would look tight! Black mesh V-grill or maybe like Robert was talking about, Black Chrome Grill. The new rockers would add a nice lower touch. The trunk spoiler would add a subtle nice touch without being ricey looking. If no exhaust mod, the tips would be a must. I'm working on LED"s for our lighting so that too would enhance the look. Damn now I like the sound of this on my Blue Chip CTS. :woohoo: :woohoo:

I'm all for the white on black! It all depends upon the person.. I'm just not big on the Caddy 'white'.

:thehand: I'm not so sure. It looks like someone stole all your hub caps. Some of the gun metal colors do look OK on the right car and color. Most of the aftermarket super shinny wheels go the other way and you lose the classiness of a fine vehicle. Bottom line, to each their own.

I think that Audi looks great (minus the retarded doors). What I think makes the wheels work is the chrome accents, kinda like the old Buick GNXs. It makes it look purposeful, rather than someone riding on black winter steelies or something.

i thought about the caddy white with the black wheels, theres a big difference between white and white diamond...so i haven't yet decided on that. another thing that was brought up was the highlighting with black...i think it's a must. like i said i'm already going to have the tint done (similiar shade to the audi) and i thought i grill would be a pretty slick idea like robert did. (black will be easier to paint than white diamond anyways).

i'm still kicking it around but the more i think about it the more i like it...i just think it would totally seperate me from the other guys.

that web page has a TON of bad azz rides on it if you go to it, then showroom, then cars or trucks. the wheels are expensive but man are they nice. 3 piece, real light and custom made to any lug/offset/width and height you want...

that way i can get my 8.5 rears and maybe 8 fronts...but i'm still thinking about the practicality of that...

A person I work with has an 05 White Diamond CTS with the Luxury Sport package.

Honestly, it is really hard for me to imagine black wheels on her car.

The White Diamond is much more elegant than sporty when compared to the Light Platinum, Black or Redline models.

You would have to make other aesthetic changes to make it work. Perhaps by adding black trim and somehow making the white diamond seem more sporty than elegant.

The Audi looks great! But notice he continues to highlight with black. Maybe a light tint on the windows, Black V grill and lenses.

Wadda you think?
This is the KEY!!!

I like black wheels too, but they have to be used wisely. For instance, I've always thought that they'd look great on our Suburban, since it is bright white, with a LOT of black highlights, small and large:

The only reserve I would have putting some on a White Diamond CTS would be the paint color itself--the slightly gold/pearl hue to the car MIGHT (but I use that usely) looks funny matched with black wheels, but I can't honestly say, since I've never seen one. Then again, looks pretty good in some TireRack chops, if you go here (Selecting White Diamond):

I think thaqt it would look pretty cool, those black wheels on a white CTS. They would have to be at least 18"s though because in constrast to the white body, they will look smaller. Just photoshop those audi wheels onto a caddyand check it out.

Try pearl black. At least some sort of metalic black, since the white is also metalic/pearl...

You could use black smoke on the lights and windows, but you can see the result with a simple photoshop mod. Good luck!

yeah well, i suck at photshop. dabbled in it for a few days but got so frustrated i quit. it was during school so i really couldn't dedicate the time needed to learn it proficiently.

if anyone has better skills and some time, i'd liek to see what it looks like with some nice black wheels on the white diamond. maybe some experimentation. paintbrush only takes you so far...
