I started my off my Monday morning by having to coast my '03 DHS into an empty lot due to an electrical problem - dead or dying battery - or possibly starter solenoid/starter.

Anyhoo, had to leave my car in the skitchiest part of town this morning. My wife is on her way to my office bringing tools and a new battery so I can save (whats left of) the car. What size wrenches do I tell her to bring - don't want her to have to lug out my entire toolbox. Of course I imagine crescent wrenches will work, but does anyone know the correct size? 8mm maybe??

Just pulled the battery on my 1998 DeVille. They were 8mm.

Actually they are 5/16", but 8mm is close enough for this emergency rescue operation.

If you keep using 8mm instead of 5/16", you risk rounding off the head (been there, done that).
