Wheels for CT5V

12291 Views 86 Replies 20 Participants Last post by  LilithV'23
I'm currently in process of buying wheels for the stock summer tires. Looking at Fast FC04 wheels in metallic black, looking for any form of review of durability, etc even if on a different vehicle.
Got a month or two before I need to swap from my winters to the pilots.
Thanks

Sorry I needed a correction. The tires are 255 35 20. Didn't want to mislead anyone who wanted a similar look thanks
Ahh that makes sense. So they are slightly taller. Are they still the run flat type tires?
#1 shouldn't have been a surprise, as wheel center caps are not a standardized size. I've played with cars from a variety of brands over the past few decades - domestic, Japanese, and Euro - and have never heard of aftermarket wheels that could use the OEM center caps, with the exception of wheels that were specifically made to be knock-offs of factory wheels.

Measure the diameter of the new center caps, go on Ebay, and find yourself some suitable adhesive Cadillac emblems. That'll take care of #1 and #3 at the same time! If you don't find something you like there, reach out to someone like Rebadge Designs - he can do all sorts of custom stuff.
Ended up getting my PPF installer to add a blacked out PPF cutout over the R and it came out great.

No. I went with non run flats for slightly better ride.
Got the tires on, stock rims and winters weighed around 62-63 lbs give or take. So pumped lol.

Hey, came across your post on google. I was also looking at getting the br14 wheels. I was curious did you get the 9.5? And what width tire, 255?

Gives me an idea of how stretched it will look with ur pics. Trying to pick between 8.5 or 9.5.
I matched stock which I believe is the 8.5, 245s I believe. I do wish I went with wider tire and wheel / better offset, the fitment would make it look more aggressive. I had a mishap with the dealership and they tried to slide me all seasons instead of the ps4s. If I was buying tires and wheels I'd go with the wider tire but that wasn't in the cards.

If it helps you picture it better, I have the AWD square all around.
I also run the stock 245-40R19 Michelin Pilot Sport 4 on the 19x9.5 with 35 offset wheels I have.
It looks just about right.
Newbie question can I put 255/40/19 on stock 19x8.5
Or just get the 20x8.5 with 255/35/20 ?
and how to do the calibration
20s. They just look better. Going 245/40-19 to 255/35-20 should be close enough to not need to recal speedo.
The downsides of going lower profile is harsher ride and more susceptibility to tire/wheel damage on bad roads or surprise potholes..

Looking at a set of wheels for my ct5v that are 20"x9" and curious if anyone knows if they would fit, and if so what offset I would need?

Did you read any of the thread before posting? If you do, you'll find your answers.

Of course, wheel width and offset aren't the only things that matter for fitment on a car with opposed piston calipers. Make sure whoever you're buying from guarantees fitment over the big Brembo calipers.

I did read above and saw most wheel sets at 8.5 or 9.5 so wasn't sure if Goin a 9" width would change anything on the offset?

If you're going with 9s, I would imagine an offset that is mid-point between the offsets for the 8.5 and 9.5 widths should work. In the earlier posts, it was reported that OE was 29 on 8.5s and that a poster mounted 9.5s with a 35 offset.

Are you worried about the look or interference with the suspension/brakes?

Mostly worried about interference and rubbing

Fair. I would be as well. That being said, if 9.5s work with a 35 offset, you shouldn't have a problem with 9s with a reasonably similar offset. What diameter are you looking at?

Widths and offsets?
This is a 20x10 / 20x11 build.

Wheel fitments are specific to each application. Whenever the time is right for yours we will walk through the process and dial it in for your performance or aesthetic needs
