Your best bet would be to find your local Mobile Wheel Repair franchise. Google "city state automobile wheel repair" or something close.

That's the clearcoat breaking down and allowing corrosion to start.

I am afraid they will have to be stripped and repainted. The shop will probably not be able to match the color perfectly and will suggest that either all four or at least just the two on the effected side be repainted.

It's not possible to just be touched up?

First place I heard back from asked $200 for the wheel. Sound about right?

About right. To do the job correctly is not a patch-and-paint rattle can affair. It's a complete strip, clean, balance, true, polish, maybe fill, paint, clearcoat. Think about what you're asking for.

For the absolute ultimate in perfection and technique, see some of the work in the 2019 catalog tab in www.wheelcollision.com. Also top-of-the-line pricing.

Have quite a few little stone chips on my back wheels as well. Not surprised given how much gravel the stock Michelins like to fling. I figure at some point I'll media blast the wheels and cerakote them-- not only will it be tougher than the factory paint, it will also make it much easier to rinse off the copious amounts of brake dust.

No warning about the landing page there

I wasn't complaining about the quoted price, just wondering if it seemed about right. Last time I had to deal with wheel repair was for curb rash on a different car 7ish years ago, so I'm a little out of date.

I would not spend $200 to refinish. I would just have them rough it, clean it up and spray it with the tire in place. If they prep it properly, new paint will stick. Also, a powdercoating place Ive used charges $50 per wheel to coat. Tire would have to come off for that one though. Not sure I would recommend exposing the wheels to the heat of the after coating baking process though.

I hit a curb leaving a automatic bank teller machine and did some pretty good damage. I sanded it out, sprayed it with some primer, resanded, sprayed the color, and then cleared it. I think it came out great. I couldn't find the color code for the wheels, but I had a can of Mercedes C63 Iridium Silver Metallic. I had a local paint shop mix up that color and put it into a rattle can for me. I got really lucky because the match was absolutely perfect. The repair is on each side of the valve stem.

Have the stock wheels and my front left one is starting to collect excessive chipping of the paint from rocks etc I assume. Is there an easy diy paint fix, or is this something I should bring to a body shop and get quotes?

I added a set of these (and Cadillac centers) over the stock scratched wheels on our SRX. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CKFNQOO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I added a set of covers (and the new Cadillac centers) over the stock, chipped mag wheels on our 2011 SRX. You have to look close to tell they are covers. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CKFNQOO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
